Business Questions Page

Last updated: May 12, 2026

The Business Questions page collects regulatory and "know your business" information during business account opening. Applicants see this page after providing business details and uploading documents, and before the eligibility step.

What the page captures

The page can capture any questions you'd like to ask businesses. Typically, FIs use this page for two types of questions:

  1. Transaction monitoring questions (cash deposits, wires, ACH, etc.)

  2. CDD / disclosure questions that can trigger follow-ups based on the applicant's answers

All questions on this page are configurable per credit union, and can be tailored per entity type (Sole Prop, LLC, Corporation, Partnership, Non-Profit, Student Organization, etc.).

Default transaction questions

Out of the box, Glide presents these four questions:

  1. How many cash deposits do you plan to make per month? Options: 1 to 5, 5 to 10, Over 10

  2. What is the total dollar amount of cash deposits and withdrawals you plan to make per month? Options: Under $10,000, $10,000 to $25,000, More than $25,000

  3. How many wires or ACH transactions do you plan to make per month? Options: None planned, 1 to 5, 5 to 10, Over 10

  4. What is the total dollar amount of wire and ACH deposits you plan to make per month? Options: Under $10,000, $10,000 to $25,000, More than $25,000

Adding your own questions

You can add any number of additional questions to this page. Each question can be:

  • Required for all entity types

  • Shown only to specific entity types (e.g., only Sole Proprietors)

  • Hidden until a prior answer unlocks it

  • Used as a parent for follow-up or nested questions

Customizing by entity type

Every question can be scoped to one or more legal structures. This means a Sole Proprietor and a Corporation applying through the same credit union can see entirely different question sets on this page.

A common pattern: keep transaction questions short for Sole Props, and use the full set for LLCs and Corporations.

Supported question types

Type

Description

Example

Yes / No

Single yes or no answer

"Are you licensed by the state?"

Free-form text

Open text field

"What types of services apply to your business?"

Numeric

Number input

"How many ATMs do you own, operate, or replenish?"

Numeric with percentage

Number input with a % adornment

"What percentage of your revenue is derived from hemp-related products?"

Dropdown

Single-select from a configured list of options

"What types of business do you operate?" (grower, processor, retailer)

Country picker

Searchable country dropdown

"What countries do you offer your services or invest internationally?"

Branching: different questions based on each Yes / No answer

The page supports complex branching, including showing a different follow-up depending on whether the applicant answered Yes or No.

Example:

  • "Is this a publicly-traded company?" Yes / No

    • If Yes, ask: "Is the company traded publicly on the New York, American, or NASDAQ stock exchange?" Yes / No

    • If No, ask: "Is the company at least 51% owned by an entity listed on the New York, American, or NASDAQ stock exchange?" Yes / No

Nesting up to three levels deep

A single disclosure can drive an entire chain of questions:

  1. Disclosure checkbox (e.g., "Are you a Money Service Business?")

  2. Follow-up question (e.g., "Do you deal in virtual currency?")

  3. Nested follow-up (e.g., "Do you offer a digital wallet?", "Do you store or have custody of virtual currency?")

Each level can use any of the supported question types above.

Conditional visibility

Any question can be hidden until another question on the page is answered a specific way. For example, "Which countries?" only appears if "Do you operate internationally?" is answered Yes.

Note - All questions are required. We don't support optional questions at this time. Use conditional visibility to hide questions you don't always want asked.

Supported customizations at a glance

  • Add or remove questions on the Business Questions page

  • Customize the question set per entity type

  • Mix and match question types: yes/no, text, numeric (with optional %), dropdown, country picker

  • Add disclosure checkboxes that trigger follow-up questions when checked

  • Branch into different follow-ups based on Yes vs. No answers

  • Nest follow-ups up to three levels deep

  • Hide questions until a prior answer unlocks them
