Overview

This guide covers the specific settings for the Vehicle Loan product, including refinance options, vehicle criteria, and rate management.

Refinance Options

This section controls the types of vehicle refinancing available to members.

  1. Refinance Type: View the specific options

    • Refinance with Cash Out

    • Standard Refinance

    • Title Loan

  2. Status: Use the dropdown to set an option to Active (visible to all), Hidden (not visible).

  3. Rate Table Configured: Select the specific rate sheet (e.g., Rate Sheet A or Z) that applies to this refinance type.

  4. Edit/Delete: Click the three-dot menu (...) on the far right of any row to modify or remove a specific product type.

    • Journey Name: Update the internal or member-facing name for that specific application path (e.g., renaming "Refinance with Cash Out" to something more specific to your promotion).

  5. Detailed Description: Add a unique description for this specific sub-category. This text helps members understand the nuances of a particular loan option before they start the application.

New Vehicle Criteria

Define what your institution considers a "New" vehicle for pricing purposes. For vehicle loans, there are different rates in the rate sheet for new vs. used vehicles. We use the information in this section to determine whether to apply the new or used rate based on the following:

  • Maximum Mileage: Enter the mileage limit (e.g., 1,000) for a vehicle to qualify as new.

  • Maximum Vehicle Model Year: Use the dropdown to select the age threshold (e.g., "Current or previous year"). Vehicles newer than this selection will automatically be treated as "New".

Default Loan Criteria

Set the baseline behavior for the application's vehicle selection.

  • Vehicle Trade-In: Toggle the Vehicle Trade-In Enabled switch to allow or prevent members from adding trade-in details to their application.

  • Vehicle Condition: Choose whether the default selection for new applications is New or Used.

    • Note: The rate that appears in the Recommended Offers on the onboarding page for a vehicle loan will correspond to the default vehicle loan condition selection made here in the dashboard

Vehicle Categories and Subcategories

Manage the different types of vehicles members can apply for under this product.

  1. Category Management: View primary categories like Car, Recreational Vehicle, Motorcycle/Powersport, and Boat.

  2. Sub-types: For complex categories (like Recreational Vehicle), you can see how many sub-types are configured.

  3. Status: Use the dropdown to set an option to Active (visible to all), Hidden (not visible).

  4. Rate Table Configured: Select the specific rate sheet (e.g., Rate Sheet A or Z) that applies to this Vehicle Category type.

  5. Edit/Delete and Category Configuration: Click the three-dot menu (...) on the far right of any row to modify a category. In the configuration modal that appears (as seen for Recreational Vehicle), complete the following:

  • Category Name: Update the internal and member-facing name for this vehicle type.

  • Select Icon: Choose a representative icon to display to the member during the application process.

  • Status: Set an option to Active (visible to all), Hidden (not visible).

  • Deep Link: This will auto-fill, no changes needed.

  • Form Type: Assign Template by selecting Standard Car, Watercraft, or Non-Standard Car based on the vehicle type to ensure the applicant receives the correct set of questions.

    • Standard Car

      • Definition: The default form designed for typical passenger vehicles. It prioritizes standard data points like Make, Model, and Mileage.

      • Examples: Sedans, SUVs, Pickup Trucks, and Minivans.

    • Watercraft

      • Definition: A specialized form designed to capture marine-specific details that differ from road vehicles.

      • Examples: Power boats, Fishing boats, Jet Skis (PWC), and Pontoon boats.

    • Non-Standard Car

      • Definition: Used for vehicles that do not fit the traditional "Standard Car" data model, often requiring information for specialized registration or valuation.

      • Examples: Recreational Vehicles (RVs), Motorhomes, Campers, and specialized Powersports like ATVs or Snowmobiles.

  • Saving Changes: After making edits in the sidebar, click the Save button at the bottom of the panel to return to the main configuration screen.

Rate Table Management

Before making changes, it is important to understand how these two components work together:

  • The Rate Table (View-Only): The table you see on your dashboard screen is a live preview of your current configuration. It displays rate sheets that have your active tiers, interest rates, criteria's and loan limits but cannot be edited directly on the screen.

  • The Rate Sheet (Editable File): To change any data in the table, you must download the Rate Sheet (Recommended) or Start From Blank template, update it in Excel, and re-upload it. This sheet acts as the "source of truth" that updates the dashboard view.
