Overview

Glide's eligibility selection page (/eligibility) allows FIs to configure options for the applicant to select which eligibility option they qualify for membership under. Glide can also support the ability to present different eligibility options specifically for each membership type.

Eligibility Page Visibility Options

Default Behavior – Multiple Options

While Glide can support as many eligibility options as your FI requires, we generally recommend up to 4 options to remove friction from the flow.

For each option, we recommend the following:

  • Title

    • Max of 36 characters.

    • 3-6 words recommended.

  • Subtext

    • Max of 100 characters.

    • 85 words recommended.

    • Optional.

  • Eligibility Options

    • If needed, the eligibility selection can map to an eligibility info screen (see screenshots below) to collect more information. The eligibility info screen is not required.

    • If you choose to utilize this configuration, Glide recommends the following:

      • Title

        • Max of 36 characters.

        • 3-6 words recommended.

      • Subtext

        • Max of 100 characters.

        • 85 words recommended.

        • Optional.

      • Fields

        • Glide supports conditional drop downs (For example, show specific location options based on what is entered in the first dropdown)

        • Glide supports optional fields, short text answers (text/number/length validation), drop downs (with search) and checkboxes.

        • A secondary CTA can be added above the “Continue” button such as “Need more help with eligibility?” that opens an external URL in a new tab.

Additional Configuration Option

Glide can skip the eligibility section by automatically selecting an eligibility type based on location (zip code or city name). If the FI would like to turn this on, the FI will need to provide Glide a list of eligible zip codes (5 digit only) or city names.

Based on the address Plaid captures, we can run a match on the zip code or city to automatically select the eligibility type and information. This “skips” the eligibility screen entirely, marks the correct eligibility field on core and greatly reduces friction.

Example Configuration Options

Example 1: Work, worship, or attend school in an eligible areas

Example 2: Business Partner (Searchable dropdown)

Example 3: Checkbox to join a foundation eligibility type

Note – Certain eligibility types, such as foundation eligibility types, can be linked to a required deposit during the funding before submission journey. See more here.

Example 4: Family member eligibility

💡 TIP: Automate Eligibility Options

It is recommended that a maximum of one eligibility question is asked per eligibility. Increasing the number of questions will lead to less applications. All eligibility options should have a route to be auto approved. Requiring eligibility documents to be submitted will lead to below average completion rates.
