Overview

Glide’s Personal Membership Flow supports applicants aged 13 and above. For financial institutions that offer youth or custodial accounts, Glide provides a configuration to detect applicants aged 13–17 and redirect them into the minor-specific membership application.

This guide explains how the minor redirection logic works and where it appears in the flow. To enable this configuration, please contact your CSM.

How It Works

  1. Age Detection

    • Applicants who enter their date of birth via the Plaid IDV widget are evaluated for age.

    • Note: The Plaid IDV widget does not allow input of a date of birth below 13 years old.

  2. Minor Account Redirection

    • After completing Plaid IDV, Glide runs an additional age check.

    • If Glide detects the applicant is under 18, they are immediately shown the following pop-up and required to restart the application using the minor-specific membership application

  3. Default Behavior

    • By default, all applicants aged 13 and older can proceed through the standard personal membership flow.

    • Enabling this configuration ensures that applicants aged 13–17 are redirected to the appropriate minor-specific application flow.
