Glide is introducing a streamlined way to initiate IDV (Identity Verification) retries directly from the dashboard.
To leave ample time for training staff on this new function, the IDV Retry function will be released to all client production environments on June 3rd. If you'd like to delay rollout of this feature for up to two weeks or have this feature moved to production sooner, please contact your CSM.
Overview
Glide's request retry feature allows staff to initiate Fraud & KYC retries directly from the dashboard. With just a few clicks, staff can quickly send an email to the member—whether it’s for correcting mistyped information, completing documentary verification, or attempting a selfie check.
Additionally, staff will receive notifications once the retry is completed, ensuring the application seamlessly moves back into the pending queue at the right time. This reduces the risk of applications getting stuck in the “waiting on member” queue, improving overall processing efficiency.
How it Works
The "Request Retry" button is located on the top right of the IDV table. This button will appear on the top right of the table for the primary application, as well as all roles (ex. joint owners and beneficiaries) and within business and trust accounts.
For personal membership as well as roles, the pop up will show the following options: ChexSystems (if your FI has enabled ChexSystems), Data Source Verification, Documentary Verification, Selfie Check, and Watchlist Screening.
Using Request Retry
Clicking "Run Now" if a retry is requested for Documentary and Selfie check will bring up a QR code meant to be scanned with a phone's camera. After scanning the QR code, the applicant can complete the Documentary Check (by scanning their ID documents) or selfie check (by taking a selfie). Initiating a retry with Documentary and Selfie check is a great way to step up a member to additional verification if their initial screening resulted in high risk. For more information on recomended step ups, see our Identity Verification Procedures guide.
Clicking "Run Now" when only the Data Source Verification is selected will pass in the current information in the application and re-run the data source verification check. Staff may want to initiate a retry for just Data Source Verification if they edited details after submitting the initial verification and now would like to reverify the details.
Clicking "Generate link" when the Data Source Verification is selected will generate a link where allow the applicant to re-enter their applicant details. Once the applicant enters their new details, the application will update with the details entered by the applicant. An activity trail state will also appear showing the application details have been updated. It is important to note that if the application had already been approved, then the application will not update with the new details received from the retry.
If a retry is initiated with ChexSystems, a new ChexSystems report will be added to the documents table.
Retries initiated with just the "Watchlist Screening" step will not appear in the verification tabs and will instead be tracked in the activity trail.
Retries initiated for a business entity will not appear in the verification tabs. The newest results will appear in the Fraud & KYB table and you can find the full results as a PDF in the Documents section. The Request Retry for business applications will show the following:
For Trust applications, the Request Retry will only show the Watchlist Screening step.
Send Email Function
Staff are able to easily send a retry link to the applicant by selecting the "Send Email" after generating a link to the IDV retry:
By default, the email template used for the IDV retry is listed below. Your FI's standard header and footer designs are used in this email/ If you'd like to edit this template, please contact your CSM.
