OTP Text Message Configuration

Last updated: May 20, 2026

Overview

When members receive a one-time passcode (OTP) via SMS, the text message copy comes from Twilio Verify — Glide's SMS delivery provider. The message template can be customized, but only from a set of pre-approved options. Custom templates outside this list are not supported

How to Request a Change

To switch from the default to one of the options, please open a support ticket with Glide or reach out to your DPM with the template number you'd like to use.

Important: Only the four templates listed above are supported. Fully custom message copy (outside these options) is not available at this time.

FAQ

Can we add a fraud warning or custom disclaimer? Option 3 includes a built-in fraud warning ("Don't share this code with anyone; our employees will never ask for the code."). This is the closest available option to a custom disclaimer. Fully custom text is not currently supported due to a lengthy carrier approval process.

Does this affect all members using Glide? Yes, the template applies at the FI, so all members will receive the updated message format once the change is made.
