Alkami External Registration

Last updated: September 23, 2026

💡 Your FI must have the External Registration Package with Alkami for this integration.

This guide is relevant if your FI uses Alkami for digital banking and you'd like to integrate Glide with Alkami External Registration for quicker online banking sign up.

Alkami External Registration allows account holders to create their online banking username and password directly in Glide for a streamlined account holder journey. This reduces the friction to set up an online banking login and allows for a better experience.

As shown above, the "Set Up Online Banking" page appears after Alkami External Registration integration has been established. Account holders can get to this page by clicking on "Set up Online Banking" from the onboarding checklist.

Once you have committed to integrating Glide with Alkami External Registration, please provide the following information to your point of contact at Glide.

Alkami External Registration info required:

  1. Regex for username

  2. Regex for password

Alkami API details (Staging & Prod)

  1. Alkami API register URL

  2. Alkami ExternalRegistrationLogin

  3. Alkami ExternalRegistrationPassword

Once your FI has sent this information to Glide, Glide will configure the staging environment to add the new "Set up Online Banking" page in the digital channel.

Your point of contact at Glide will also share IP addresses that Alkami must whitelist in order to complete set up. There are separate IP addresses for Glide's staging and production environment.

After the integration has been released in staging, we will work with your FI to conduct testing to ensure online banking accounts are being created as expected. It will then be rolled out to production if tests pass.

Common Connectivity Issues

If connection to Alkami is failing, there are several configurations you may need to verify with your IT team and Alkami

  1. Alkami and Glide must be using the same Core to allow the External Enrollment to complete. Please verify this configuration with your IT team and reach out to Alkami to confirm if required.

  2. MemberNumber and AccountHolderNumber are the same value in Glide but have different uses in Alkami. Verify with your IT team whether MemberNumber or AccountHolderNumber is the correct field to be passed to Alkami in the API call.

  3. Some Alkami clients need to remove leading zeroes from the API call. Verify the correct configuration with your IT team and reach out to Alkami to confirm if required.
