Blocking IP Addresses in Glide
Last updated: November 7, 2025
Introduction
Protecting your members and reducing fraudulent activity is a top priority for financial institutions. One effective way to safeguard your Glide member flow is by blocking specific IP addresses linked to suspicious or malicious behavior. This helps ensure that only legitimate users can access your services and reduces the need for manual reviews of suspicious activity.
How Blocking IPs Works
When you block an IP address in Glide, users connecting from that address are prevented from completing the member flow. This can help mitigate fraud, protect genuine members, and streamline your internal review process.
Requesting an IP Block
To have IP addresses blocked:
Compile a list of the IP addresses you wish to restrict in a CSV file.
Share the CSV with your Designated Product Manager (DPM).
Glide will review the request and implement the block, preventing the specified IPs from accessing your member flow.
Best Practices
Regularly review access logs to identify suspicious IP addresses.
Ensure your CSV file is accurate and up-to-date to avoid blocking legitimate users.
Coordinate with your DPM to maintain ongoing monitoring and updates as needed.
