Transaction Limits
Last updated: September 23, 2026
Product terminology: Banks generally use “certificate of deposit” (CD); credit unions use “share certificate.” This guide retains exact product labels and core terms such as “share,” “Share ID,” and “membership level” where they identify specific fields or records.
Overview
Glide offers flexible transaction limits for deposits, allowing financial institutions to set various controls based on their needs.
Daily Limits
A daily maximum limit can be set per product category (e.g., savings, checking, share certificates). These limits apply to both card and ACH payments and can be combined across categories. For example:
Savings and/or Checking: $10,000 daily limit
Share Certificates: $250,000 daily limit
Note: The "day" for daily limits is based on your financial institution's local time.
Card Transactions
A minimum and maximum transaction limit can be set per product. A maximum funding limit per membership can be set (e.g., an account holder cannot fund more than $1,000 over the lifetime of their membership).
Funding Limit Display
On the card funding amount form, configured total and daily card limits can display the limit and remaining amount. The standard transfer form displays this as text; when no card-specific limits apply, it shows the minimum and maximum transfer range.
ACH Transactions
Set minimum and maximum transaction limits per product.
Funding Before Submission
Glide allows you to configure products that do not require funding at the time of account opening.
Glide checks the configured transaction and cumulative limits applicable to the selected product and funding method.
Maximum Allowable Limit
Contact your implementation team to review a proposed limit increase and any constraints for your configured funding method, processor, and core integration.
For products with larger opening deposits, such as certificates of deposit or share certificates, review the applicable funding limits during implementation.
To raise or configure your transaction limit, submit a request to your implementation team.
